On Tuesday September 10th, award recipients, volunteers, and friends of The Banting Research Foundation came together to celebrate a fantastic year at the Foundation.
Dr. Susan George (1988 Award recipient) shared with us how critical funding from The Banting Research Foundation at an early stage of her career allowed her to yield promising data, which eventually led her to study the healthy and diseased human brain.
Dr. Ali Abdul-Sater (2018 Discovery Award recipient) shared highlights from his research on inflammation and how his Discovery Award allowed him to hire the right people and get the preliminary data he needed to receive major federal research funding this year.
We had a great evening celebrating early career science in Canada and enjoying the company of our fantastic community and friends.
